Ratings Plummet for ABC’s Ambitious LGBTQP Gay Rights Drama ‘When We Rise’
The marketing was also disastrous, with Lance Black coming across as vocal and passionate about his series but never seeming to make up his mind whether he wanted to appeal to Trump voters or take them on with his new creation.

ABC can’t be accused of underplaying When We Rise, its eight-hour drama miniseries chronicling the struggles and setbacks of LGBT activists in the 20th century.

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:” Romans 1:26 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: ABC is failing miserably with their transgender indoctrination series lame attempt to equate people who want to change their gender with the legitimate Civil Rights issues faced by the black community. Becoming transgender is a choice, it is not one of the inalienable rights laid out in the Constitution.

Some thought the show, created by award-winning gay activist Dustin Lance Black and aired on four nights this week, goes out of its way to portray middle America as intolerant homophobes. When We Rise received saturation ad coverage during the Oscars ahead of its premiere this week, to the extent that one Twitter commentator joked that if he drunk alcohol every time he saw an advert for the show, he’d be dead by the end of the Academy Awards broadcast.

But part one of When We Rise flopped on Monday. As a result, ABC rescheduled Modern Family to run just before the second installment to boost ratings. However, viewership of the second part fell almost 1 million viewers from its premiere, netting an audience of only 2.05 million on Wednesday, which is pathetic for prime-time slot on a commercial TV network.

The final part of the miniseries is Friday night. (President Trump’s address to congress on Tuesday delayed the show’s transmission by a day.)

Power Rangers to Feature Lesbian Character

The new Power Rangers film will reportedly feature a character who is a lesbian, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Superhero movies generally are not known for including LGBTQ characters, but the new Power Rangers film is going in a new direction. The film, produced by Lionsgate, is a remake of the popular ‘90’s children’s TV show.

Not only does the film include a lesbian character, but this character is the film’s protagonist. Yellow Power Ranger Trini, played by Becky G, is portrayed as struggling with her sexual orientation. One character assumes she is having “boyfriend problems,” but realizes that Trini is actually having “girlfriend problems.”

Director Dean Israelite said that scene is a “pivotal” moment in the film.

"For Trini, really she's questioning a lot about who she is," Israelite told The Hollywood Reporter. "She hasn't fully figured it out yet. I think what's great about that scene and what that scene propels for the rest of the movie is, 'That's OK.' The movie is saying, 'That's OK,' and all of the kids have to own who they are and find their tribe."

LGBT representation in films--even children’s films--has been increasing recently, albeit not without controversy.

Disney’s recent remake of Beauty and the Beast featured Disney’s first “gay moment,” when a friend of the villain Gaston experiences same-sex attraction to him.

Last Man Standing canceled
May 13, 2017
-  Tim Allen's Last Man Standing canceled despite high ratings.
Tim Allen is a conservative himself, and has voiced his support for President Donald Trump.  He plays Mike Baxter who is also politically conservative on the show. "Last Man Standing" has been praised for being one of the few shows that appeal to a conservative viewership, something the network was conciously trying to do.

I am VERY disappointed!  We NEED good shows like his!
Tim Allen's show 'Home Improvement' was very good family show.  He played the tool man.  He also did the movie 'The Santa Clause' a great kids movie.
