Psalm 83  WAR on ISRAEL
WAR is not mentioned in Psalm 83 - only planning a war.
The Palestinians are the Philistines, Goliath, Israel's enemies in the scriptures.

READ Psalm 83 and 85

Book of Psalms Chapter 83  Geneva Bible Translation

Psalm 83 in several different translations

God Implored to Confound His Enemies.
O God, do not remain quiet,  Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.
For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,  And those who hate You have exalted themselves.

They make shrewd plans against Your people,  And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
They have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,  That the name of Israel be remembered no more.”

For they have conspired together with one mind  Against You they make a covenant:
The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,   Moab and the Hagrites;
Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre,
Assyria also has joined with them,  They have become a help to the children of Lot.  Selah.

Deal with them as with Midian,  As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
Who were destroyed at En-dor,  Who became as dung for the ground.

Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb  And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
Who said, “Let us possess for ourselves The pastures of God.”

O my God, make them like the whirling dust,  Like chaff before the wind.
Like fire that burns the forest And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
So pursue them with Your tempest  And terrify them with Your storm.

Fill their faces with dishonor,  That they may seek Your name, O LORD.
Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever,  And let them be humiliated and perish,
That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD,  Are the Most High over all the earth.

Some say Psalm 83 is a war apart from Ezekiel 38, others say Psalm 83 is only talk, not war.
Bible prophecy experts Bill Koenig and Bill Salus discuss current events in the Middle East, what the Bible says about them, and what is coming.
We examine the looming Ezekiel 38, Isaiah 17, Psalm 23 wars and much more.

Thank you - yes - its Turkey with high and irrational ambitions.

Psalm 83 WAR, A Prophecy In Process
A Google search of “The Psalm 83 prophecy” on March 31, 2012 displayed 1,380,000 results. Another Google search on the same day under “The Psalm 83 war,” uncovered 2,460,000 results. These numbers reflect approximately fifty-times as many results than there were in the same month 4 years prior. I recall, because in 2008 my book, Isralestine the Ancient Blueprints of the Future Middle East, was published and I had attempted to find research over the Internet on these two subjects. Psalm 83 is the central theme of Isralestine, and frankly Internet research in these areas at that time was generally fruitless, which is why the book was an eight-year work requiring countless hours of biblical study and extra-biblical historical research. At the time, most of the respected existing commentaries on the Psalm offered little more than poetic expositions. Fortunately, Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, David Dolan, and Jack Kelley had previously written summarily about the prophetic possibilities of the Psalm, which presented me with some helpful insights.

What in the world?!
November 24, 2010
Have you been wondering what is going on in our chaotic world with the increase in the amount of earthquakes, disaster in the Gulf and what is the American government trying to do to our liberties?
These events were all prophesied thousands of years ago in the pages of the Bible!
The news headlines of today are examined to show how they are perfectly aligning with end times Biblical prophecy!
So, we can see not only what this all means but also to where we are headed!

In that day I will make Jerusalem a stumbling block for all people
all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth gather against it.
Zechariah 12:3

The beginning of the end

The Middle East is a powder keg with a short fuse. It appears that recent events are pointing to the fuse being lit very soon.
Recent legislation shows that the Mideast peace process appears to have reached an impasse as neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis will give on the stumbling block, Jerusalem.

Israel has just recently taken the volatile matter of the land for peace negotiations out of the hands of a few politicians and put it into the hands of the people.
The Arab League is avidly denouncing this new move, as is the Palestinian Authority and Syria.
These enemies of Israel well know that if the fate of Jerusalem is is up to the citizens of Israel, that their desire to possess Jerusalem will never be come to pass.

The Arab League condemned Israel's new law requiring a referendum on land concession as illustrating the aggressive character of the Israeli government and its disregard for international law.
LOL!  Israel belongs to Jews.  Hahaha!

Israeli Knesset passed National Referendum Law, requiring the approval of 80 MKs or a national referendum before any Israeli withdrawal from east Jerusalem or the Golan Heights.
Thats what the stupid Arabs call a provocation.

This new law may be the tipping point that finally provokes the many enemies of Israel to attack her. They have been preparing militarily for such an attack for months.
Probably the only reason they have restrained themselves thus far is because they were depending on either Obama or the UN to demand that Israel comply and unilaterally disengage.
Their goal being to carve Israel into a much smaller Israel with indefensible borders.
Their primary objective is to remove Israel from being a nation.

So, a barrage of missiles towards the civilian populations of Israel is planned regardless of how much land Israel is willing to give in exchange for peace.

Come, they say, let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.
Psalm 83:4

These Muslim neighbors are aware that at least while the decision to give away Jerusalem was in the hands of select few,
there was still a chance that Obama could possibly arm-twist Prime Minister Netanyahu behind the scenes.

These Arab enemies appear to be cognizant that this prospect of Israel being coerced into just releasing Jerusalem into their hands is now fading fast with this new legislation requiring a referendum vote.
If a super majority in the Knesset (the Israeli legislative body) cannot be reached, then the citizens of Israel will cast the deciding vote.

In the Knesset, the recent passage in favor of this controversial new law was 65 to 33.
It is therefore conceivable that a similar ratio would be reached in the Knesset against conceding Israel's Covenant land to the Palestinians.
In this instance, the decision would then land in the hands of the Jewish people.

This clever new legislation by Israel, combined with her previous proven determination that dividing Jerusalem was not on the table and would never be, is proving to the Palestinians and all of their allies that Jerusalem will never be willfully given up to them.

"The Israelis want to tell the whole world that they will not withdraw from Jerusalem or the Golan," Abbas told reporters on Tuesday at the opening of the new headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Ramallah."

The statement also said that the law is designed for those that still under the illusion that the Israeli government is interested in peace.
Palestinian Authority chief negotiator Saeb Erekat on Monday slammed the Knesset's decision and reiterated the sentiments put forward by
Syria and said that with the passage of this bill, the Israeli leadership, yet again, is making a mockery of international law.

Israel's enemies may actually contort this new development as an excuse to attack her; saying that Israel proved that she was not interested in ever negotiating for peace
the  law is designed for those that still under the illusion that the Israeli government is interested in peace.

They are no doubt fully aware that the Obama Administration can no longer force Israel's hand with coaxing or threats as it is not up to the leadership anymore, but to the population of Israel.

Previously, the United Nations had proposed setting a deadline for a Mideast "peace treaty". The UN had also formulated that if upon the set date no treaty is negotiated; that the United Nations will decide the terms of the treaty. In other words, the United Nations will tell Israel what to do.

"Calling for a return to Israel's borders before the 1967 war in which it occupied the West Bank, Gaza, and other territory, Solana said mediators should set a timetable for a final peace agreement, according to the report.
"If the parties are not able to stick to it (the timetable), then a solution backed by the international community should be put on the table," he said, as quoted by Reuters."

Eventually(if not already), those who despise and oppose Israel may conclude that Israel will also defy the UN's efforts to give away her promised land; just as she has refused to "cave" to the demands of the the United States.

If the United Nations attempts to dictate its will upon Israel then Israel, as a sovereign nation,  has the right to resist. Israel has proven to the international community that she has the steadfastness and wherewithal to do so.

With this realization, Israel's enemies may finally conceptualize the fact the Jerusalem will never be given to them on a silver platter and that they will have to forcefully take it by military conflict if they want it.

These many enemies of Israel who have attacked her seven times since her miraculous rebirth in 1948, have many millennia of hatred seething beneath the surface and would not think twice about attacking Israel yet once again.

This hatred runs so deep that these Arab countries' goal is not just to take Israel's land, but they want the very demise of the Jewish people.
Therefore, a military assault on Israel may actually be seen as achieving both of their goals at the same time.

The recent confrontation between North Korea and South Korea may well be an impetus that will encourage the Arab nations to spring to action.
If further confrontations ensue, it may be seen as perfect timing as America, as South Korea's ally, would be occupied and unable to come to Israel's aid.
This future military conflict between Israel and her neighbors is predicted in the Word of God and will be the fulfillment of Psalm 83.

The Psalm 83 War is not a matter of if, but when and as evidenced by all the recent news, "when" appears to be extremely soon.
For details of the coming Psalm 83 War, please see this previous entry:

When the fuse is finally lit in the Middle East and the powder keg explodes, we can anticipate that  surely the Lord's return is very soon.
Israel's is God's prophetic timepiece and the initiation of the Psalm 83 war may well be the event that starts the Tribulation clock to ticking.
Until then, may we pray for God's chosen people as well as for the many other lives that will be lost during this soon coming prophesied war.

WAR is not mentioned in Psalm 83 - only planning a war.
PSALM 122:6

The P5 plus 1 meeting and prophecy
June 2012 by Bill Wilson
The headlines in the Middle East are very active. Iran is a the center of them. Russia is hosting a meeting of the P5 plus 1 on June 18 and 19. This consists of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany. They are meeting to discuss how to curtail Iran's nuclear program. Of course, Russia and China traditionally have been the "nay" votes on anything that might place hard international pressure on Iran to give up its quest for what many consider a nuclear weapon. For Iran's part, it has used negotiations for nearly a decade to stall action against it, and to use that time to work even harder on advancing its nuclear program. The prophetic implications here are enormous.

Many Christian prophetic sites and end time watchmen are pointing to the events leading up to this meeting and predicting that a collapse of the talks could signal the end of the world. In reality, there is a lot that must happen before the end time battle, known as "The Day of the LORD" prophesied in some way in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew, Luke, Acts, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Timothy, 2 Peter, and Revelation (and I may have missed a few). On the timeline of the end times, The Day of the LORD is at the end of the Great Tribulation, not at the beginning.

These current events are prophetically significant because most of the nations that come against Israel in that colossal end times battle are very active in the news today. Keep in mind that the antichrist figure mentioned in the vast majority of the Day of the LORD prophecies is called "the Assyrian." the Assyrian empire then is where part of modern Turkey is today. In fact, reliable sources, meaning those without a political axe to grind against Russia or the Roman Catholic Church, place Magog, Meshech and Tubal in Turkey, not in Russia/Moscow nor in the former Roman Empire. These locations were, however, part of the Ottoman Empire that reigned over the region from 1299 to 1923.

The primary nations embroiled in controversy against Israel include Iran, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, and Libya. Saudi Arabia, the home of Mecca and Islam, is playing the entire world, plying it with oil and becoming richer and more influential. These are days where the end times are fast coming into focus. Yeshua said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." 1 John 2:22 says, "Who is a liar but he that denies that Yeshua is the Messiah? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son." The most powerful existing force on earth today that denies the Messiah is Islam. All the named nations coming against Israel in the Biblical end times are Islamic. Keep your faith intact.
Read the Bible with understanding that false teachers may not deceive you.

The Coming Middle East War
August  2,  2012   CBN
Stakelbeck on Terror joined by Bible prophecy expert Bill Salus and White House correspondent Bill Koenig for a look at how current events in the Middle East are fulfilling Bible prophecy and how Israel's enemies may soon instigate an attack that will see the Muslims decisively defeated.

Psalm 83 war
(some say this is only talk, not war)
Philistines - Palestinians
Tyre - Hellzballah terrorists
tents - 'refugee camps' Palestinians
Edom - Esau, Palestinians
Moab, Ammon - Jordan
Barak Hussein Obama set in motion the 'Arab spring' Islamic jihad moves across mideast.

BEWARE of Glenn Beck.  He sound so good, but the antichrist will sound good.  Beck is Mormon and deeply sold out to satan.
The devil can tell enuf truth to trap people and suck them in.  BEWARE GBTV!!

Psalm 83 confusion and today’s Middle East
The current US-assisted Middle East unrest spanning from Libya across Northern Africa through Egypt and North into Syria has inspired much talk and speculation about Psalm 83. There are many Biblical commentators who believe that Psalm 83 is about a prophesied war that triggers several prophetic events, including the rapture, the tribulation, and the eventual return of Yeshua Ha Mashiach. A careful reading of Psalm 83, however, will demonstrate that there is no war prophesied and that the psalm is not a prophesy, but rather a prayer against the enemies of Israel that could be used even today as the nation is surrounded by those mentioned when Asaph wrote the psalm.

Verses 1-5 say, “Keep not thou silence, O YHVH: hold not thy peace, and be not still O YHVH. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee.” Then Asaph names names--Ishmaelites who are Arabs; there is Edom, Moab, Ammon from Jordan; Gebal and Tyre from Lebanon; Hagarenes from Mesopotamia, Syria and Egypt; Amalek and Philistines from Gaza and Egypt; and Assur from Turkey and Iraq.

The rest of the Psalm asks YHVH to cause these enemies to perish by wind, fire, storm, even confusion, concluding with verse 18, “That men may know that thou whose name alone is YHVH, are the most high over all the earth.” There are many items in Psalm 83 that are common to prophecies referring to the Day of the LORD. One example is iwhen YHVH defeats the beast (Gog) in Ezekiel 38. Many of the countries and people groups are similar. The LORD uses rain, hailstones, fire, brimstone, and confusion to defeat this coalition (v. 21 “every man’s sword shall be against his brother”) that “they shall know that I am YHVH” (v.23).

These nations that are prophesied as coming against Israel by the Old Testament prophets are consistent enemies of Israel and today they are followers of the most antichrist system in the world--Islam. It is no huge revelation that these traditional enemies of Israel will cause wars and rumors of wars from now until the end. Our generation may well see the end time prophecies of the Bible play out before our very eyes. But let us be ever mindful of false teachings and traditions of men that lead us astray. Don’t take my word for it, or other teachers; don’t get angry if what you have been taught over a lifetime is challenged. Read the Bible for yourself, in its context, and judge what is being taught. Yeshua told his followers repeatedly to not be deceived by man. -Bill Wilson

Question    Egypt president Morsi to visit Iran
August 19, 2012
Egypt President Mohammed Morsi will attend a summit in Iran Aug. 30 on his way back from China.
This is the first such trip for an Egyptian leader in decades.
Hellzballah leader, Nasty Nasrallah in Lebanon, has also been threatening Israel from the north.
Hamas is eternally threatening and attacking Israel from the south.  Israel stupidly gave Gaza to Palestinians in 2005.

Arab nations are forming a plan to attack Israel.  Yes, its one of those eternal threats, but it appears the day is approaching.
My guess they will again attack during Jewish Holy Days late September as they did in 1973.
Sept 25 is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for Jews.

Psalm 83 says nations will rage against Israel.  They are!  But will they attack?  Yes!  But when?

No Israeli strike now if Obama pledged a spring attack?  I dont believe it.

Jewish Fall Holy Days, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot

Your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate You have exalted themselves.
They make shrewd plans against Your people.
They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.
For they have conspired together with one mind.

Evil or Very Mad    EGYPT and IRAN HATE each other, but both hate Israel more.    Exclamation

The Coming War
September 2, 2012
Email from Israel

Since Israel's 6 day victory in 1967, our subsequent military engagements have not gone so well.  The Yom Kippur war in 1973 was a hair's breath from disaster.
The fruit of our actions in Gaza and Lebanon has been less than decisive, and rockets continue to land in our southern cities.
The days of untouchable military supremacy seem to be behind us.  The certainty of unequivocal US support has also vanished.
Our confidence in the survival of the nation is rapidly coming down to God and God alone, and so it must be.

Naturally speaking we are rightly concerned by our enemy's all-out commitment to our destruction.
It is a matter of the highest honor and principle in their way of thinking, for which they are ready to give their lives.

A Moslem Brotherhood set on our destruction now controls Egypt.  Assad of Syria may well attack us as an alternative to being hung in town square.
Iran's build-up and support of Hezbollah goes on unabated, while Hamas and the PA sit across the street
watching and waiting for an opportunity to bring us one inch closer to destruction.

We cannot ignore these conditions any more than we would say that black clouds have nothing to do with rain.
The longer it waits, the stronger and more determined they all become.  However, it remains a foundational error to think the unfolding and outcome of this moment will be determined by the will and desires of men, as plausible as it might appear.  More than anywhere else in the world, what concerns Israel will unfold according to the sovereign will and plans of God.  Our perspective on war has never been if.  And though the matter of when looms large on our list of questions, we sense the greater need is to understand what He is doing why He is doing it and what He wants us to do.

Beloved, let us fervently pray for the body of Messiah in Israel and the nations to be made ready.  If our mind and heart are not rightly aligned with the thoughts and purposes of God, we will be of little use in the hour of testing.  It’s like when a plane is getting ready for takeoff and the cabin crew gives the emergency instructions.  Parents are directed to first put on their oxygen masks, and then their childrens.  Though the nations be shaken to their foundations, they are not at the epicentre of the coming quake.  We are...and we are going to need your help.  Beyond what we may or may not understand, we believe that the single most determining factor in how we walk through the coming days will be the depth of our passion for the revelation of His glory.  The manifestation of His glory is in the revelation of His nature.  The revelation of His nature is in the knowledge of His ways.  A living knowledge of His ways is only truly actualized in and through God’s righteous judgments.  So why do we cry out for God to withhold His judgments as if they were a bad thing?  They alone reveal things for what they are.  They are the measure of truth.  They are the foundation for sowing and reaping.  They are the foundation of eternity.  God’s doesn’t just say things.  He doesn’t just show things.  He gives us to experience the essence of what things are by allowing us to eat the fruit of the seeds we’ve given our lives to nurture.  King David understood this, praised God for His judgments, and was helped by them.  Psalm 119:164,175

Often we pray according to our own understanding...how things affect our loved ones, our nation, and us.  Is it right to ask or even expect God to bring forth good fruit from good seed and hold back bad fruit from bad seed?  Are we more concerned with how things affect us or how they affect Him?  Who are we really living for?  Adam and Eve experienced the fruit of their actions immediately.  Why should it be any different for us?  God has not changed. Every action having an equal and opposite reaction is a law applying to all of life, not just the visible realm.  Yet God has chosen, for a time, to suspend the laws of nature and hold back the forthcoming judgments, which are indelibly inscribed into every atom of creation.  When we cry out for the Holy Spirit to come, what we are asking for?  What do we envision? In that day the world will know sin, righteousness, and judgment.  As long as God holds back that which is rightfully due, the wicked think they are fine and the righteousness of God is held in derision.  This grace to us costs Him dearly.

Generally speaking, when disaster comes we grieve for a time, maybe go to a few special meetings, and then it’s back to life as usual.  But for some, as in southern Israel and areas of grave natural disaster, life does not snap back to normal.  However, for most of the Western world the arena of battle, conflict, and judgment is still “out there somewhere.”  This dynamic is about to change...it needs to change.  Whether by war, natural disaster, economic collapse, or obama-nation, everyone will know if his house is founded on the Rock or built on sand.  For a long time we thought Maranatha meant “Come, Lord Jesus. “ Well, it does, with one small addition.  It is an exclamation as the Lord draws near for judgment (Strong’s #3134).  It is the cry of those who so love God that they are willing to suffer any loss and go through any hardship in order that His glory and righteous judgments would be known over all the earth.  It is the cry of those who are ready to stand in the gap, knowing that the enemy is quite accustomed to going through that hole in the fence.  It is the cry of the Spirit and the Bride.

In closing, we want to be very clear and specific about our personal perceptions and expectations.  Only a small percentage of the Body is ready for what is about to happen in the world.  Most are asleep dreaming they are awake. The condition of Israel naturally is a reflection of the condition of the Body spiritually.  On all levels…personally, corporately and nationally…we tend to be issue-oriented and not get to the root problems and dysfunctions.  Israel, as a nation, is far from God and not getting closer.  The politically motivated, unprincipled ways of our leaders exhibit no signs of meaningful change in the foreseeable future.  The religious system continues as an instrument of darkness to bind the minds and blind the hearts of many true seekers.  In the past two weeks, due to a dire frustration with our social system, three people attempted to set themselves on fire.  Two succeeded and one has died.  Prior to this, such actions were unimaginable in our society.  We take this as an indicator of a spirit of hopelessness and desperation prevalent in the nation, yet not fully acknowledged by those in positions of influence and power.  Maintaining the status quo works to the advantage of our enemies and will increase our casualties in the coming war.

Contrary to how it might appear, God is the one moving the pieces on the game board.  The voices claiming prophetic unction are quite diverse in their predictions.  We expect things to soon change dramatically and forever.  We have no specific word concerning when, but expect it could be anytime from a few months to a few years.  The Spirit of the Lord may say nothing specific about dates until just before it happens.  We are to be ready starting now.  We expect that the cost of America’s compromise of truth for life style may run as high as their freedom.  We expect the losses to be suffered by Israel in the coming conflict will be of a dimension never before experienced.  We expect Tel Aviv to be the enemy’s primary target.  We expect the fear of the Lord to be released in our midst.  We expect lovers of truth everywhere to awaken and seek the Lord.  We expect God’s judgments to bring comfort to all those that long for His Glory.

Psalm 118:10-19 All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.
11 They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the Lord I cut them off.
12 They swarmed around me like bees, but they died out as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off.
13 I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
15 Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!
16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
19 Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.

The War No One is Watching
Whats Going on in Damascus?
by Jack Kelley, EDITED by me
Damascus is mentioned 60 times in the Bible.
Damascus was founded by Uz, the son of Aram who was the patriarch of the Aramean people. Aram was the 5th son of Shem.
Throughout its history Damascus has always survived and is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world.

An Oracle Against Damascus
Probably the best known prophecy about Damascus is Isaiah 17
Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.
It speaks of a battle that will mark the end of Damascus which has never happened.
Currently there are three wars going on in Syria, any one of which could lead to the fulfillment of Isaiah 17.

But there is a secondary war thats becoming more critical.  There is an effort underway by Iran and Hizbollah to widen the Syrian conflict into Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel.
All parties involved believe this effort could explode into a regional war at any time. If so it could be the fulfillment of Isaiah 17 as well as Psalm 83, which many see as the prophecy of a war that pits all of Israels next door neighbors against Israel, and from which Israel will emerge victorious.

The third war
The third war is a little known one that could very well be the single deciding factor as to whether the civil war will escalate into the fulfillment of prophecy.
This war is between Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama.  Obama wants Assad gone and Putin wants him to stay
Each is trying to torpedo the other ones chances of succeeding.

Obama is outclassed and Putin will have his way. He has essentially already won.
Bible prophecy might favor Putin.

Russia will be a major participant in the Ezekiel 38-39 battle.
