Mexico hotel fire
Nov 14, 2010
A powerful explosion likely caused by an accumulation of gas killed 7 people, including five Canadian tourists, on Sunday at a large resort hotel on Mexico's Caribbean coast, authorities said.
Two Mexican employees of the sprawling, 676-room hotel Grand Riviera Princess hotel in Playa del Carmen, south of Cancun, were killed in the blast, said Francisco Alor, attorney general of Quintana Roo, where the resorts are located.

Two other Canadians suffered severe injuries and were listed in critical condition. Ten others, including two U.S. citizens and eight Mexican employees of the hotel, suffered less serious wounds and were listed as stable.
the floor of the building was basically hurled through the ceiling by the force of the explosion, blowing out windows and sending fragments of aluminum window and ceiling panels frame over a wide area.

Age of Anarchy
January 24, 2012
– From Syria to Mexico, nations facing growing violence and tensions that could tear them apart.
RUSSIA PM Vladimir Putin, warning ethnic tensions could tear Russia apart, said on Monday he would toughen migration rules and keep a tight rein on Russia’s regions to prevent it following the Soviet Union into oblivion. In a newspaper article and an address in southern Russia, Putin used the danger of ethnic discord to call for limits on electoral reforms. “With the collapse of the country (the Soviet Union), we were on the edge — and in some regions over the edge — of civil war,” Putin wrote in Nezavisimaya Gazeta. “With great effort, with great sacrifice we were able to douse these fires. But that doesn’t mean that the problem is gone,” he wrote in the second of a series of articles promoting his leadership goals ahead of a March 4 presidential election. Putin, in power since 2000 and favored to win a six-year presidential term in March, described a Soviet-style vision of a country in which the rights of ethnic minorities would be respected but Russian language and culture would dominate. “The Russian people, the Russian culture is the glue holding together the unique fabric of this civilization,” Putin wrote. Putin is steering a fine line between Orthodox Christian ethnic Russians, some of whom fear labor migration and higher birth rates among Russia’s Muslims, and ethnic tensions which could challenge his vision of a centralized, united, Russia. Thousands of nationalists have protested in Moscow over migration and state subsidies to the mostly Muslim North Caucasus, where an Islamist insurgency rooted in the Chechen wars persists. Comparing nationalism to a disease, Putin took aim at ethnic Russian nationalists, who have been among the 59-year-old prime minister’s most vociferous critics. -Reuters

Mexican oil pipeline explosion kills 23
19 December 2010
At least 22 people have been killed and many others injured in an oil pipeline explosion in central Mexico, local officials say.
The incident happened in the town of San Martin Texmelucan, Puebla state. The cause was not immediately known.

The pipeline is operated by the state-run Pemex oil company.
TV pictures showed a huge cloud of black smoke over the pipeline and people rushing from their homes for safety, AFP news agency said.
It quoted Puebla's State Secretary Valentin Meneses as saying that the pre-dawn explosion occurred during an attempt to steal fuel.

Death toll from pipeline explosion rises to 27
A pipeline exploded in central Mexico early Sunday as thieves were trying to steal oil, killing at least 27 people and sending rivers of flaming crude through city streets.
Authorities estimated that the explosion and resulting spill affected a three-mile (five-kilometer) radius, injuring at least 52 people and scorching more than 115 homes.
The principal explosion, followed by four additional minor blasts, forced hundreds to flee the city of San Martin Texmelucan, 55 miles (90 kilometers) east of Mexico City.

"We saw rivers of fire in the streets," Valentin Meneses, interior secretary for the state of Puebla, where San Martin is located, told Milenio Television.

Television images showed a scorched ghost town of houses, businesses and trees blackened by the huge explosion and a black crude-like substance covering the streets.
Meneses said the explosion, which happened before dawn Sunday, was apparently provoked by thieves trying to steal crude oil.
"They lost control because of the high pressure with which the fuel exits the pipeline," he said, adding that the oil began to flow down the city's streets and into a nearby river.

Exorcise a nation?
June 16, 2015
-  What happens when an entire country becomes infested with demons?
Can a country with deep Christian roots like Mexico find itself at the mercy of demons? Some called for a nation-wide exorcism of Mexico, carried out quietly last month in the cathedral of San Luis Potosí.

High levels of violence, as well as drug cartels and abortion in the country, were the motivation behind the special rite of exorcism, known as “Exorcismo Magno.”  Cardinal Juan Sandoval Íñiguez, the archbishop emeritus of Guadalajara, presided at the closed doors ceremony, the first ever in the history of Mexico.

But how can an entire country become infested by demons to the point that it’s necessary to resort to an Exorcismo Magno?

NAU MEETS  *  Canada, USA and Mexico
June 28, 2016
-  North American Leaders meet in Brexit shadow.
The shadow of Brexit and rising protectionist sentiment loom large as resident Barack Obama meets Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto at 3 Amigos summit in Ottawa.  The meeting is Obama’s last and Trudeau’s first and comes amid opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership and disputes over visas, lumber, and beef.  Yet all 3 see the summit as an opportunity to double down on easing trade barriers.

Yeah, I believe the 10 kingdoms described in Daniel and Rev (in the great trib period, that is) are likely 10 continents (one of them likely being the North American Union). Not 10 countries in Europe like numerous prophecy teachers talked about in depth too much since the 90's.

Mexico and Trump are discussing Border Wall
Nov 13, 2016
 -  I guess Mexico isnt as opposed to the wall as the media would have us believe.  The President of Mexico wants to begin negotiations with Trump concerning the wall construction immediately!  Mexico’s President, Enrique Peña Nieto, was one of the first world leaders to reach out to President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him on his election victory. Nieto also seems very interested on meeting with Trump again before Trump takes office!

Canada PM Justin Trudeau is willing to renegotiate NAFTA.

Mexico has huge risk in a trade war with President Donald Trump and the United States. About 90% of U.S.-based fortune 500 companies have made substantial investments in Mexico.  AGAIN Donald Trump was right about having leverage against Mexico that would help to get his wall built.
